The Richards J. Heuer, Jr. Legacy Collection
Richards J. Heuer, Jr (1927-2018) championed the application of cognitive psychology to the field of intelligence with his groundbreaking 1999 publication, Psychology of Intelligence Analysis. Heuer went on to advance the field of intelligence analysis with his pioneering work on using structured analytic techniques, culminating in his co-authorship (with Randolph H. Pherson) of Structured Analytic Techniques for Intelligence Analysis, now in its second edition.
This bundle celebrates Heuer's rich legacy with these two seminal volumes, plus the bonus personal e-book memoir Rethinking Intelligence: Richards J. Heuer, Jr's Life of Public Service. The memoir, published in the last year of his life, also provides fascinating insights into groundbreaking contributions the author made in the field of deception detection and what inspired him to develop the Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (ACH) methodology.
