Course Overview: This course introduces a set of critical thinking concepts and Structured Analytic Techniques (SATs) that analysts can use to structure analysis, generate solid analytic arguments, take into account change and ambiguity, and avoid major mistakes. Students practice through hands-on exercises specific skills to help them understand their client’s needs, overcome mental mindsets, challenge assumptions, organize information, diagnose problems, develop alternative scenarios, perfect their presentations, and avoid surprise.
